Indian Head Massage (Shiro Abhyanga) has been an integral part of Indian family life for thousands of years and has a noble lineage as it is a part of the ancient Ayurvedic teachings.

The techniques used in IHM are for maintaining health and wellness has been handed down over the generations. Renowned as an antidote for stress it is a safe, simple, non-invasive yet effective clothed therapy. The treatment includes massage and manipulation of the upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, scalp and face.

Amarjeet Bhamra, a renowned Ayurvedic bodywork practitioner and member of British Complementary Medicine Association  has specifically designed this course to be a sequence that can be easily learnt and provide a powerful therapy.

This course is equally suitable if you are completely new to complementary therapies or if you are a trained therapist seeking new skills to enhance your current practise.

The course consists of 5 class days over 3 months and requires 4 to 6 hours a week of home study and performing therapy practice and case studies.
